What is ancient wheatgrass from Kamut® Khorasan?

Ancient wheatgrass comes from the young leaf of the ancient wheat plant. For our organic ancient wheatgrass juice powder, only Kamut® Khorasan is used – a clearly defined and protected ancient wheat variety. The name Kamut® stands for controlled varietal purity and a clearly identifiable organic raw material.

Production as organic juice powder

For our organic ancient wheatgrass juice powder from Kamut® Khorasan, the fresh grasses are pressed immediately after harvesting. Only the pure grass juice is used, which is then dried in a complex, gentle process. Insoluble plant fibers are removed during this process. This results in a concentrated, intensely green organic juice powder with a fine structure and good solubility.

Less than 45 minutes pass from the time of harvest to the finished juice powder – a decisive factor for consistently high quality.

Origin Utah

The organic ancient wheatgrass from Kamut® Khorasan grows in Utah on soils that have been enriched with minerals over millions of years by marine deposits and volcanic activity. In combination with the dry climate and intense sunlight, conditions are created that are reflected in the color, purity and consistency of the juice powder. This origin forms the basis for the consistently high quality of our product.

Organic juice powder vs. plant powder

With plant powder, the entire plant is dried and ground, including insoluble plant fibers.

For organic juice powder, the plant is pressed and only the plant juice is processed further. Insoluble plant fibers are removed.

Compared to plant powder, this process requires many times more fresh grass, as only the juice is used. The result is a fine, concentrated organic juice powder that mixes well with liquid and is clearly different from ground plant powder.
